Washington State men’s basketball freshman Ace Glass has been named the West Coast Conference Freshman of the Week. Glass earned the weekly conference honor for the second time this season, after delivering back-to-back double-digit games, including a team-high 24 points in the non-conference finale against Mercer.

The Rialto, California native is leading the Cougars with 15.9 points per game, eighth in the West Coast Conference overall and the best scoring average of any freshman in the League. Glass ranks 12th nationally in freshman scoring. From the free throw line, Glass is shooting 89.4 percent, fifth in the WCC, and fourth nationally by a freshman.

Glass earned his first conference weekly award, December 1st, after he broke the WSU freshman single-game scoring record, dropping 40 points against Arizona State in the Maui Invitational semifinals.

The Cougars begin West Coast Conference action, Sunday at Portland against the Pilots.
