Warriors Sweep Walla Walla

Both Lewis-Clark State basketball teams picked up Cascade Conference wins on the road over Walla Walla University last (Tue) night in College Place, Washington.

Sitara Byrd scored a game-high 17 points in leading the 10th ranked Warrior women to an 88-27 win. LC held the Wolves to 21 percent shooting from the field and the 27 points allowed tied for the sixth-lowest point total by a Warrior women’s opponent all time. LC improves to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in league play.

Meanwhile, five Warrior men’s players scored in double figures as the LC men beat the Wolves 79-64.

Brandon Suber led the Warriors with 15 points, while Dylan Skaife put up 14 and Peyton Nordland and Pullman’s Grayson Hunt each tallied 11 and Dallon Morgan finished with 10 points.

The Warrior men improve to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in league.
