Garfield County Republicans are searching for a new County Commissioner. The District #1 seat was recently vacated, and now they’re looking to replace James Nelson.
If you’d like to throw your hat in the ring, there are some criteria you must meet, The Garfield County Republican Party lists them as: You must live in District 1 and “Possess values which align with or support the core principles of the Republican platform.”
If you’re interested, you can send a letter of interest and resume by December 22nd to the Republican Party or drop it off at 778 Main Street in Pomeroy.
District 1 is part of Pomeroy and areas north and northwest of town. We have attached a district map below.
