CLARKSTON, WA – A 43-year-old Spokane man was arrested Wednesday on six counts of 1st-Degree Rape of a Child and six counts of 1st-Degree Incest. Grant Van Yeaman, who reportedly has a history of sex crimes against children and is a registered Level III sex offender, allegedly raped a girl under the age of 12. His bond was set at $250,000.
According to a Probable Cause Affidavit, Yeaman is accused of raping the girl while he visited from Spokane one to two times per month between April and October of last year.
Yeaman and the mother denied that he had visited her home during that time period, although bedding that was gathered during the investigation had his DNA on it, the affidavit says.
