Idaho’s Average Gas Price Drops Below $3

Idaho’s average gas price has fallen below the $3 mark for the first time since January of 2024.

According to the American Automobile Association, today’s average price of $2.99 for a gallon of regular is 12 cents less than a week ago, and 31 cents less less than a month ago. The national average currently sits at $2.91 per gallon, with 38 states now at or below the $3 mark.

Oklahoma drivers are currently enjoying the cheapest prices in the U.S. at $2.30 per gallon, while drivers in Hawaii are paying the highest average price at $4.43 per gallon.

Of Idaho’s largest cities, Twin Falls has the state’s highest average price for a gallon of regular at $3.06, while Franklin has the state’s lowest average price at $2.90. Lewiston’s average price for a gallon of regular is currently $2.91.
