Asotin County Fire District 1, Clarkston Fire, and Lewiston Fire all responded to a fire this afternoon at Vineland Cemetery. Upon arrival, smoke wa coming from the eaves of the maintenance facility on the outskirts of the cemetery. A press release from the ACFD says they found a backhoe that was on fire inside the shop. The building and other equipment inside also received heat and smoke damage.
No one was hurt in the fire. Inspectors are working to find the cause.
