GRANGEVILLE, ID – The Idaho County Sheriff’s Office says they received a report of a possible incident of lewd conduct with a minor a month ago. Following an investigation, a warrant was issued on Friday for 20-year-old Jaekob J. Ketchum of Kamiah for one count of Lewd Conduct with a Minor Child Under Sixteen. He was arrested on Saturday and booked into the Idaho County Jail.

Meanwhile, at around 1:03 p.m. on Friday, an Idaho County Sheriff’s deputy was on routine patrol at the intersection of U.S. 12 and State Highway 13 when he stopped a vehicle for an expired registration.

After the deputy made contact with the driver and passenger, the driver/owner—who is on probation for a previous case—gave permission for the deputy to search him and his vehicle.

Following the search, the passenger – 59-year-old Dick E. Jones of Lenore – was arrested for Felony Possession of Methamphetamine, Felony Possession of Fentanyl, and Misdemeanor Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
