
It’s been a quiet week at the gas pump, giving Idaho drivers a reprieve from the more expensive gas prices on the horizon.
According to the American Automobile Association, the average price for a gallon of regular in the Gem State is $3.98, about half a penny cheaper than a week ago but 23 cents more than a month ago. The national average currently sits at $3.58, a penny less than a week ago and just three cents more than a month ago. Today, Idaho ranks 10 th in the country for most expensive fuel.
With the summer travel season here and with the Independence Day Holiday approaching, AAA expects prices to edge up as demand increases.
Motorists in Franklin continue to pay the highest price per gallon for gas in Idaho at $4.12, while Idaho Falls has the lowest average price at $3.88. Lewiston’s average price for a gallon of regular is currently $4.05.
