
Lewiston Orthopedics, in conjunction with their partner clinic Valley Medical Center, is holding its 15th annual free sports physical event for local student-athletes this month.
The event will be held on Wednesday, May 17, from 5 to 7 p.m., and it is open to student-athletes entering grades 6 through college. As an added bonus, if a child is due for their well-child check and/or immunizations, those can be completed at the same time.
This is a walk-in clinic; appointments are not available, and student-athletes will be seen in the order they arrive. The event will be held in Valley Medical Center’s Pediatric Department at 2315 8th St. in Lewiston.
Participants must download, print and complete the forms found on the school website and bring them to the sports physical event May 17; An adult must be present with their student; Participants must wear shorts and a T-shirt; If a participant wears glasses or contacts, they are required to wear them to the sports physical; Physicals are free, and most immunizations are covered by the state of Idaho if students are under 19 years of age; For well-child checks, insurance will be billed if covered. If self-pay, they are free.
