Avista crews reported great progress overnight and continue to work throughout the day today to restore power to all customers who lost power during last night’s (Mon) windstorm.
The utility has restored power to roughly 32,000 or about 94% of the 34,000 customers who lost power at the height of the storm. Some 2,000 customers remain without power.
The storm impacted both transmission and distribution lines, causing damage throughout Avista’s eastern Washington and north Idaho service territory. The majority of the remaining outages are in areas most impacted by the high winds.
Crews continue to assess more than 100 remaining incidents and will continue to work until all customers are restored.
Estimated restoration times are now available on the Avista outage map at myavista.com/outage. The remaining customers are expected to have their power restored by end of day Tuesday.
