You won’t have to get a license to fish in Washington June 6th and 7th. Fish & Wildlife offers the weekend to break out the rod and reel without asking the government for permission. You can fish for bass and panfish in lakes, surfperch and rockfish on the coast. There are others as well, but some species are off-limits. Licenses are only required for salmon, steelhead, sturgeon, halibut, and shellfish.
