A planned power outage in Genesee has been re-scheduled for this Tuesday.
The outage, which will affect more than 300 Avista customers, was originally set to take place last Friday. Affected customers have been notified of the outage that will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday. Traffic control will be in place from Laurel Street north of Chestnut Street.
During the outage, Avista crews will be replacing aging infrastructure, including power poles and equipment, in the area. The updates are part of the utility’s ongoing efforts to enhance the safety and reliability of its infrastructure.
