Approximately 500 catchable-size rainbow trout were stocked in Long Gulch Pond this month in Idaho County.
Fish stocking in Long Gulch Pond was suspended during road construction on U.S. Highway 95. With road work near the pond done, the Idaho Department of Fish and Game was able to re-stock the pond for anglers of all ages.
According to Fish and Game, Long Gulch Pond is a great pit stop for people taking their next scenic road trip along the Salmon River corridor, and is one of just a few community ponds stocked in Idaho county.
