Idaho Gas Prices Rise Despite Iran Ceasefire

In response to an announced ceasefire between the United States and Iran, crude oil futures markets have dropped by nearly $18 per barrel. But for now, Idaho drivers are still feeling the pain when they stop to fill up.

According to the American Automobile Association, today’s average price for a gallon of regular gasoline in the Gem State is $4.32, which is five cents more than a week ago, $1.09 more than a month ago, and 96 cents more than a year ago.

The national average currently sits at $4.16 per gallon – ten cents more than a week ago, 71 cents more than a month ago, and 92 cents more than a year ago. Idaho currently ranks 9th in the nation for the most expensive fuel.

Of Idaho’s largest cities, Boise has the state’s highest-average price for a gallon of regular at $4.38, while Lewiston and Coeur d’Alene have the state’s lowest-average price at $4.12 per gallon.
