| KANSAS CITY, Mo. – LC State Baseball continued to climb the NAIA ranks this week and moved up two spots to No. 5. The Warriors host a key Cascade Conference series this weekend with (RV) British Columbia at Harris Field.
Warrior pitching has been dominant this season and has played a key role in LC State’s 26-3 overall record and 18-3 mark in CCC play. LC State Baseball leads the NAIA in ERA (2.70) and WHIP (1.10). Landon Webb ranks third in the NAIA in WHIP (0.91) and 11th in ERA (2.05).
Offensively, the Warriors rank in the top 20 of the NAIA in batting average (.337) and slugging (.533). Jackson Jaha is one of the top hitters in the NAIA and leads the nation with a .533 batting average and .607 on-base percentage. He is second in slugging at 1.000.
Around the CCC, UBC is the only other team receiving votes. The Warriors and Thunderbirds are tied at the top of the conference standings ahead of a four-game series this weekend in Lewiston.
