Governor Brad Little has appointed Brandon McMartin, Director of Guest Services at The Coeur d’Alene Resort, to the Idaho Travel Council (ITC) representing Region 1 (North Idaho).

McMartin brings more than a decade of hospitality experience to the Idaho Travel Council. He joined Hagadone Hospitality in 2014 and has served in expanding leadership roles at The Coeur d’Alene Resort. As Director of Guest Services, he oversees bell and valet operations, parking, ground transportation and the resort’s water taxi fleet.

Since 2015, McMartin has coordinated off-site excursions and activities for convention groups, building partnerships with local guides, operators and businesses to showcase the region’s distinctive experiences. That work has generated over $1.8 million in local tourism revenue.

“I am honored to serve on the Idaho Travel Council and represent North Idaho,” said McMartin. “I believe success in hospitality comes down to genuine care and attention to detail. I want to bring that standard to how we grow tourism across our state.”

McMartin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and completed a Professional Pilot Program at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. He holds a USCG Master Captain license (100 GRT), an FAA Single-Engine Land pilot certificate and a DOT Commercial Driver’s License (CDL-A).

“Brandon brings excellent hospitality experience including resort operations and visitor services to the Idaho Travel Council,” said Idaho Commerce Director Tom Kealey. “His demonstrated leadership at The Coeur d’Alene Resort makes him an outstanding representative for North Idaho to the ITC.”

The Idaho Travel Council’s primary purpose is to advise the Idaho Department of Commerce’s Visit Idaho team activities and programs. The council also awards grants to applicants of the Idaho Regional Travel and Convention Grant Program. Additionally, council members work closely with tourism organizations and businesses in Idaho on viable marketing opportunities and ways to represent their interests to state government.

The Idaho Travel Council consists of eight Governor-appointed members: seven members each representing one of Idaho’s development regions, and one member appointed at-large.
