Starting July 1st, sex offenders can no longer live or loiter near all daycares. Right now state law only requires them to live and loiter more than 500 feet from state-licensed daycares. Tuesday Governor Brad Little signed Senate Bill 1239. It changes the requirement to any city, county, or state-licensed daycare.
It passed the House and Senate unanimously. The law takes effect July 1st of this year.
