Thain Grade is safer to drive again. The recent rains caused some rocks to come loose from the cliff face. The danger zone was between Stewart Avenue and the uppermost entrance to Home Depot and the Nez Perce Plaza businesses. A press release from the City of Lewiston says the rainstorm last week loosened the rocks, creating the danger. Today the city shut down Thain at about 9am for less than an hour to keep drivers safe while they knocked it down. Once that part was finished, police re-opened Thain and crews kept working while cleaning up, and hauling away, the debris.
