The Idaho Senate is recommending a pay cut for themselves. Senate Concurrent Resolution 125 points out that the rest of Idaho’s government agencies are taking a 5% pay cut going forward. The Resolution sends a recommendation to the Citizens’ Committee on Legislative Compensation to decrease pay for the next session. It doesn’t specifically say how much. That will be up to the committee members to decide.
According to the National Conference of State Legislatures, Idaho legislators currently earn $25,000 per year plus per diem of $253 per day if they live more than 50 miles from the Capitol, as well as traveling mileage, and medical, dental, and health insurance.
