UPDATE: The City of Lewiston Public Works says Avista has postponed this work. 11th Ave will NOT be closed tomorrow.
A road commonly used to get to Lewis-Clark State College and Normal Hill will be closed starting tomorrow (Tues). A press release from the City of Lewiston Public Works says Avista will be relocating utility poles along the 11th Avenue hill. It will be closed between Snake River and Prospect avenues. The nearest detour will be to use the Snake River Avenue roundabout at Southway.
The release goes on to say traffic control will be in place at 11th Ave to allow access to local businesses. Snake River Avenue is expected to be down to one lane during the closure. The release does not say how long work is expected to last, but we expect a response soon from Public Works.
