If you’d like to help out your veteran friends and neighbors, there’s a free training class coming up to help prevent suicide. The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs, Asotin County, and the Clarkston VFW are putting on the event. It’s coming up Friday at 1pm at the Clarkston VFW on 15th Street. There’s a free lunch that starts at 11am if you’d like to go early.
At the training they will also have safe storage devices for firearms and medication available to veterans at no cost.
