| CORVALLIS, Ore. – LC State had a pair of Warriors earn Cascade Conference McDonald’s Player of the Week honors, presented by Urban Edge Network, on Monday. Madigan Kelly was voted the CCC Women’s Track Athlete of the Week and John Lustig was tabbed the Men’s Basketball Offensive Player of the Week.
MADIGAN KELLY – WOMEN’S TRACK ATHLETE OF THE WEEK
Kelly earned a B standard in the 60m hurdles at the Inland Northwest Invite. The senior from Lewiston finished second overall with a time of 8.76 in the final. The time would rank 10th in the NAIA if not for her 8.73 time earlier this season.
This is Kelly’s first weekly honor of the season and 10th of her career.
JOHN LUSTIG – MEN’S BASKETBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Lustig led LC State in scoring against two of the CCC’s top teams with 18 points per game. The senior from Colfax scored six of his 16 points in overtime at No. 22 Oregon Tech and added 20 against Southern Oregon. He shot 68.4% from the field and went 10-for-11 from the free throw line. Lustig totaled five assists and 10 rebounds which led to 22 points.
This is Lustig’s second weekly honor of the season and third of his career.
