
An inmate who walked away from a job site in Lewiston yesterday (Mon) morning is back in custody.
According to the Idaho Department of Correction, 42-year-old David Johnson had been part of a working group of inmates from the Orofino Correctional Institution. He disappeared from the job site near Thain Road sometime after 7:30 a.m.
Authorities reported Johnson had been located and was back in custody around 4:30 p.m. There were no other details released.
Johnson was convicted of Attempted Grand Theft in Nez Perce County, and was scheduled to be incarcerated until April 14th this year.
