The man charged with killing Michael Odom and burning down his house was back in Asotin County Superior Court today.
Samuel D. Reeves was in court via video link from the Asotin County Jail to set his trial date. The date was set for March 2nd. Reeves’ only comment today was to ask “What about my 60 days. Speedy trial?” The judge responded, telling Reeves to discuss it with his lawyer. He has been in the Asotin County Jail since mid-December.
Reeves is charged with 1st Degree Homicide, 1st Degree Arson, 1st Degree Assault, and Witness Intimidation.
The charges come from the investigation into the suspicious death of Michael Odom at his home on Grande Ronde Road near the Oregon border. Odom’s remains were found inside the burned home.
