Kristian Gonzalez had 18 points and five others scored in double figures as the University of Idaho men’s basketball team beat the Washington State University men 83-81 last (Mon) night in Pullman.
Emmanuel Ugbo led the Cougars with 17 points and 8 rebounds.
It was the first time the Vandals beat Wazzu since 2017 and the first time since 2014 in Pullman.
Up next, Idaho will host Whitman Friday in Moscow at the ICCU Arena, while Washington State travels to North Carolina Friday for a game with Davidson.
