CORVALLIS, Ore. – A pair of Lewis-Clark State student-athletes earned Cascade Conference McDonald’s Players of the Week, presented by Urban Edge Network, announced by the conference office on Monday. Damaris Kibiwot was named the CCC Women’s Runner of the Week for the second time this season and Dallis Shockey earned her first CCC Women’s Golfer of the Week honor.
DAMARIS KIBIWOT – WOMEN’S CROSS COUNTRY RUNNER OF THE WEEK
Kibiwot was the top NAIA runner at the Bill Roe Invitational and finished 15th in the field of 96 runners. She shaved more than 30 seconds off her previous personal best with an impressive time of 21:54.2. She helped the No. 21 Warrior women finish sixth as a team.
DALLIS SHOCKEY – WOMEN’S GOLFER OF THE WEEK
Shockey played one of the best tournaments of her career last week to finish as the top non-NCAA Division I golfer at the Kalispel Invitational. The senior carded her first collegiate under-par round with a 71 in the final round to finish 43rd overall.
