Cal Raleigh homered twice and drove in 4 runs in leading the Seattle Mariners to a 9-2 win over the Colorado Rockies last (Wed) night, and the organization’s 4th division title, and first since 2001.
Julio Rodriguez and Eugenio Suarez each added home runs in the game. Raleigh, who now has 60 dingers on the year, is two shy of tying Aaron Judge’s American League record of 62.
Luis Castillo picked up his 11th win of the season. The M’s right-hander allowed one run on one hit with a season-high 10 strikeouts and no walks over a 7 1/3 inning start.
