Dominic Canzone went 5 for 5 with 3 home runs and 4 runs-batted-in, and Cal Raleigh homered twice to tie Ken Griffey Jr. for most home runs in a season in Mariner’s history in leading Seattle to a 12-5 win on the road last (Tue) night in Kansas City over the Royals.

It was a career night for Canzone, while Raleigh broke the Major League record for most homers by a switch-hitter with numbers 55 and 56 – eclipsing Hall of Famer Mickey Mantle.

Logan Gilbert picked up the win for Seattle. The right-hander allowed 2 runs on 6 hits with 5 strikeouts over his 5 2/3 inning start.

The M’s also extended their winning streak to 10 games and maintained their half-game lead over Houston in the American League West Division.

The series continues tonight (Wed) in Kansas City with the first pitch set for 4:40 p.m. and live radio coverage in the LC Valley on 95.5 FM and AM 950 KOZE and in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM 1300 KLER.
