Idaho Central Credit Union is the latest victim of a scam to hit the LC Valley. This afternoon one of our reporters got a text message that ICCU locked his debit card “to prevent unauthorized payment”. He doesn’t have an ICCU debit card. The text includes a link to supposedly confirm his identity. The link does not go to ICCU. When you look up the owner of the website, it shows tha tit was registered by a company that privatizes internet domain names.
Identity experts recommend that if you’re concerned about whether it’s real, call ICCU directly with a known phone number.
