Suarez Leads Mariners Past Padres

Eugenio Suarez homered and drove in 3 runs and Julio Rodriguez added two hits and scored a run in leading the Seattle Mariners past the San Diego Padres 4-3 yesterday (Wed) at T-Mobile Park.

On the mound, Bryan Woo picked up his 12th win of the season. The M’s right-hander allowed two runs on 6 hits with 6 strikeouts over his 5 2/3 inning start. Closer Andres Munoz earned his 31st save of the year.

Seattle won the series two games to one and remains a game-and-a-half behind Houston in the American League West standings.

Up next, the Mariners travel to Cleveland where they’ll begin a three-game weekend series tomorrow (Fri) night with the Guardians.
