Air quality improved slightly today. The fires in central Idaho have flooded much of the area with smoke. At last check, Kamiah is still considered to have “Very Unhealthy” air. Nezperce is a little better off, but not much. The LC Valley is just “moderate”. The oddball was a sensor in Weippe came in at “Hazardous” with an AQI number of 933 at noon. Healthy air is considered 12 micrograms of particulate matter per cubic meter of air or less.The sensor in Weippe showed more than 610. We’re hoping it’s a faulty sensor.
