The Central Ferry Wildfire that burned nearly 6,600 acres in Whitman County near Dusty, has been controlled and was listed at 99 percent contained Saturday.
State mobilization was utilized to assist local firefighters along with helicopters and other aerial assets during firefighting operations.
The blaze was reportedly started following a vehicle fire last Wednesday afternoon.
