The Idaho Transportation Department reminds Idahoans that there’s no appointment necessary at the Clearwater County Department of Motor Vehicles office. You don’t have to be a resident of Clearwater County to get your card there. Anyone from Idaho can stop in to take care of business.

UPDATE: There is some confusion about whether this information is accurate because people have been told that it is appointment only. We spoke with the Idaho Transportation Department who clarified that there are two DMV offices in Orofino. One is for driver licensing, and it is appointment only. The other is for motor vehciles and they are the ones taking REAL ID (Star card) customers without an appointment.
