Residents Encouraged to Review City of Lewiston Budget Proposal

Each year, the City of Lewiston proposes a budget to guide services, improvements, and investments in the community. The plan supports safety, infrastructure, and quality of life in Lewiston.

According to the city, two documents are available for public review. The first is the Citizens’ Guide to the Budget, a condensed, user-friendly overview that highlights key figures and includes feature articles on community needs, services, and upcoming projects. The second is a more detailed Proposed Budget document, which includes comprehensive financial data and serves as the draft under City Council consideration. Free printed copies of both documents are available in the lobbies of all Lewiston public facilities.

While both documents reflect the same general figures, they offer different levels of detail to help residents better understand the proposed Fiscal Year 2026 budget.

Community members are encouraged to review both documents, share feedback with the Mayor and City Council, and participate in a public hearing scheduled for Monday, August 11th at 6:00 p.m. at the Lewiston City Library, located at 411 D Street.
