Tomorrow (Sat) is your chance to learn how to play rugby without the threat of serious injury. The Asotin County Library is hosting the event. It starts at 10am at Arnold Park in Clarkston.
Here’s the library’s description of the event:
FAMILY FRIENDLY! Come learn and play a non-contact version of the game rugby! We’ll give an overview of the rules, practice some skills, and then form teams and scrimmage.
Rugby, whether touch or full contact, is a sport for everyone. At the social level, it is also a lifetime sport. Touch rugby is a game that brings community together that provides a healthy exercise outlet for everyone without pressures of intense competition.
Rugby doesn’t rely on any one person to lead gameplay. Everyone plays with the same set of skills and success is achieved through communication and movement of the ball. People of all genders, body types, and ages are welcome in touch rugby.
Please be sure to wear athletic clothing and shoes. The Friends of the Asotin County Library will provide bottled water.
A liability waiver will need to be signed by adults and parents/guardians will need to sign for any child under 18 years old.
We want everyone to have a great time! Your participation is voluntary and at your own risk.
