
Idaho County Deputies were busy on Friday. At about 5:22pm, a deputy was on an Office of Highway Safety emphasis patrol in the Riggins area. A release from the Sheriff’s Office says he observed a vehicle traveling 45 in a 25-mile-per-hour zone. Once the vehicle was stopped, the release says the deputy saw marijuana in plain view. A search also found methamphetamine, cocaine, and paraphernalia. 48-year-old Joshua Thomas was arrested for possession.
Less than three hours later another deputy was in the Kooskia area when she saw a vehicle traveling on the center line. K9 Millie got to work and alerted on the vehicle. A release from the Sheriff’s Office says a search found methamphetamine and paraphernalia. 68-year-old Marvin Mendenahall was arrested for possession of meth and paraphernalia, and concealment of evidence. It also lists misdemeanor resisting and obstructing, but does not go into detail as to why.
