
Fire crews responded to the Clayton Road Wildfire at 4:45 yesterday (Mon) morning near the Garfied County-Asotin County line.
At 6:30 a.m. officials requested State Mobilization to get extra resources on the way. Several aircraft were dipping and scooping water from the Snake River near Chief Timothy Park to assist with firefighting efforts.
The fire is now estimated to be around 500 acres in size and officials hope to have some level of containment today (Tue). The fire is believed to have been ignited by lightning.
