Idaho Gas Prices Hold Steady

After weeks of rising gas prices, Idaho prices leveled off this week.

According to the American Automobile Association, today’s average price for a gallon of regular is $3.48, which is about a penny more than a week ago and 19 cents more than a month ago, but 12 cents less than a year ago.

The national average currently sits at $3.16 per gallon, which is the same as a week ago, two cents more than a month ago, and a whopping 36 cents per gallon cheaper than a year ago.

Idaho currently ranks 7th in the U.S. for the most expensive fuel.

The West Texas Intermediate benchmark for crude is currently trading near $66 per barrel, which is about $2 less than a week ago and nearly $15 cheaper than a year ago.

Of Idaho’s largest cities, Boise has the state’s highest-average price for a gallon of gas at $3.51 while Franklin has the state’s lowest-average price at $3.27. Lewiston’s average price for a gallon of regular is currently $3.31.
