Firefighters are finishing up the Old Greer Fire. The blaze in Lewis County, across the river from Greer, is now 100% contained. They will continue to mop up over the next few days to make sure it doesn’t flare back up again.
Teams from the Nez Perce Tribe, Clearwater-Potlatch Timber Protective Association, Idaho Department of Lands, and the U.S. Forest Service worked together to keep the damage to 78 acres.
It was initially reported last Wednesday at about 8:30pm after a lightning strike started it.
