
The population of Clarkston and Asotin remained the same between 2024 and 2025 according to the Washington State Office of Financial Management. They released the most current census data as of April 1st.
Clarkston’s population is sitting at 7,240. Asotin has 1,225 people. There was a gain of 25 residents in the rest of Asotin County over the last year for a total of 14,285 living outside of town. The total population of Asotin County is 22,750.
Whitman County saw growth of exactly 700 people overall for a total of 49,450. Pullman also saw growth of 700 people. Other towns in the county were stagnant, lost, or gained up to 15 people.
Garfield County remains the smallest in population in the Evergreen State with a total of 2,300 residents. It lost 25 people overall. Pomeroy dropped 20 in population and the rest of the county lost 5.
King County remains the largest in population at 2,411,700. Seattle itself contains 816,600 people.
The smallest incorporated town in Washington is Krupp in Grant County. It has 45 residents.
