Anglers take note: Idaho Fish & Game increased the daily and possession limits for Chinook today. It includes portions of the Clearwater River basin. Fish & Game says a large percentage of the fish are returning, heading back to Kooskia hatchery on Clear Creek.
New limits include the Mainstem Clearwater River upstream of Orofino Bridge, Middle Fork Clearwater, and South Fork Clearwater Rivers. You can now fish four Chinook, only two can be adults. You can possess 12 Chinook, only six may be adults.
The new rules take effect immediately.
