The Idaho Department of Parks and Recreation wants to remind outdoor enthusiasts that campsites are available for the summer season at state parks across Idaho. Memorial Day weekend camping reservations can still be found at some locations.

The department has also announced the opening of a new, 50-unit full service RV campground. The new Billingsley Creek Campground places recreationists at the heart of Thousand Springs State Park. From the new campground, visitors can spend the day exploring Box Canyon, take in the dramatic 60-foot waterfall at Malad Gorge, kayak into Blue Heart Springs, and visit historic Ritter Island.
