Recent wet weather is helping extinguish the Big Creek Fire. The blaze, just over the Montana line in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness was last estimated at 75 acres in steep terrain.
Fire leaders have been using three helicopters to target spots and a Hot Shot crew of firefighters is also on the ground. Leaders are hopeful that the coming rains this week should also help.
