Magazines that hold more than 10 rounds will continue to be illegal in many circumstances in Washington State. The WA State Supreme Court made the announcement today.

In State of Washington v. Gator’s Custom Guns, Inc the court upheld the state’s law banning the sale, importation, manufacture, and distribution of magazines they call “large capacity”, or any that hold more than 10 rounds of ammunition.

Gator’s Custom Guns allegedly continued selling the illegal magazines, challenging the constitutionality of the law, but the Supreme Court upheld the law, saying it does not violate the constitution’s right to bear arms “because large capacity magazines…are not ‘arms’ “.

It is not illegal at this time in Washington to own the magazines.
