LCSC To Award 892 Degrees And Certificates At Graduation

753 students will graduate at the LC State event coming up May 9th. They have earned a total of 892 degrees and certificates.

There are two commencement ceremonies. The first is at 10am. It has graduates from the School of Liberal Arts & Sciences and the School of Career & Technical Education.

The second is at 2pm for the School of Professional & Graduate Studies.

At the ceremonies Xander McDowell will receive the Gertrude Mellen Dick Award. Xander has the highest cumulative GPA for four years of undergraduate work. Brandon Cabrera will receive the President’s Award for outstanding contributions to the college, his division, fellow classmates, and the community, and  Michelle Adams earns the Provost’s Award as a high-achieving student who earned the majority of her degree credits through online coursework.

Along with the students, LCSC will honor individuals of note. Chris Loseth, president and CEO of P1FCU will receive the President’s Medallion for his impact on the college, community, and region. They will also honor retiring emeritus faculty members Heidee McMillin and Teresa Nash.
