This year’s Outstanding Teacher Educator Award goes to Jane Ann Shaw. She’s a 5th grade teacher at Webster Elementary School. The award comes from Lewis-Clark State College’s Teacher Education & Mathematics Division.
The award was created to recognize people for their contribution to the process of developing teacher candidates.
Shaw, an LC-State alumna, has been a teacher in the Lewiston School District for 11 years. She has been mentoring LCSC teaching candidates since 2020.
LC State associate professor Christina Brando-Subis says “Jane Ann has been a consistent, kind, honest mentor for our program and candidates, and is an exemplary example of providing a thoughtful and well-designed classroom environment with consistent management skills and building positive connections with her students.”
