
The Idaho Office of the Attorney General has agreed to conduct the prosecutorial review of the investigative findings in the officer-involved shooting that occurred in Pocatello on Saturday, April 5th. The request was made by the Bannock County Prosecuting Attorney.
The case involved an autistic, nonverbal teenage boy who was shot repeatedly by Idaho police from the other side of a chain link fence while he was holding a knife.
The boy, identified as 17-year-old Victor Perez, died Saturday after being removed from life support.
The officers involved, whose names have not been released, were placed on administrative leave.
