Protesters lined D Street near the offices of US Representative Fulcher and Senators Risch and Crapo because they feel they’re not being heard.
Deena Heath helped organize the rally. She says the people of Idaho aren’t being heard. There hasn’t been a town hall meeting in a long time, and that’s not ok. “They come into Idaho and they do photo ops, and they meet with certain groups, but the real constituents…they’re not interested in meeting with us.”
Protesters had a variety of different agendas, from national to local policies, and they were met with positive and negative feedback from drivers. People drove by and honked in support, and at least one shouted obscenities.

Heath says the wide variety of signs was the idea. These are things that they haven’t been able to address to Risch, Crapo, and Fulcher directly. She commented“…and these are all regular LC Valley people. You know, they weren’t bused in.”
