ROSALIA, WA – Travelers on US 195 who use the Horn School Rest Area between Spokane and Colfax will need to use alternate rest areas during travel due to upcoming scheduled danger tree removal.
Contractor crews working for the Washington State Department of Transportation will close the rest area starting at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday. The closure is anticipated to last until 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
During the closure, arborists will remove several dangerous trees. Arborists were recently on site to evaluate trees that needed to be trimmed but discovered the trunks were rotten and needed to be removed as a safety precaution.
During the closure, drivers will not have access to the rest area and must find an alternate location.
