Kendrick and Kamiah Advance, Orofino and Nezperce Fall at State

Ralli Roetcisoender led the way with 19 points and the Kendrick High boy’s basketball team beat Hagerman 67-42 to open the Idaho State 2-A Boy’s Basketball Tournament yesterday (Thur) at Vallivue High School in Caldwell. The Tigers advance to the state semi-finals where they’ll face #7 seed Grace this (Fri) afternoon at 4 p.m. Pacific Time.

Meanwhile, top-seed Kamiah had big performances from Matthew Oatman, who scored 26 points and Dave Kludt, who put up 24 in leading the Kubs past Victory Charter 83-43. Kamiah advances into the other 2-A semi-final where they’ll face Lakeside tonight at 6 p.m. Pacific Time.

In the 1-A State Tournament at Caldwell High School – Nezperce fell to #2 seed Rockland 83-40. Slater Kuther led the Nighthawks with 24 points in the loss. Nezperce will play Watersprings in the consolation bracket today at 4 p.m. Pacific Time with live radio coverage in the upper Clearwater Valley and Camas Prairie on KLER-FM 103.3.

In the Idaho State 3-A Tournament at Capital High School is Boise – Orofino ran out of gas in dropping their opening game to top-seed Declo 67-47. Hudson Schneider led the Maniacs with 11 points. Orofino will meet Soda Springs in the consolation bracket today at 1 p.m. Pacific Time with live radio coverage in the upper Clearwater Valley on AM-1300 KLER.
